The WIR TX900 is specifically
designed to be the best-sounding
and most cost-effective solution
for simultaneous interpretation of
up to four languages. This wireless
lightwave system helps listeners
hear the language they under-
stand, while minimizing back-
ground noise, and overcoming
poor acoustic conditions common-
ly found in conferences. The flexi-
ble design of the WIR TX900 system
permits permanent and portable
installations and can accommo-
date a wide range of auditorium
sizes and configurations.
2.3-3.8 MHz carrier frequency
(baseband) minimize interference
from high-efficiency lighting and
no license is needed for transmis-
sion - anywhere in the world!
Wideband transmission means
superb audio quality for hours of
listening without fatigue.
Each microprocessor controlled
MOD 232 modulator handles two
audio channels and the baseband
outputs daisy-chain together for
four-channel operation. Flexible
combination jacks permit bal-
anced/unbalanced line-level
inputs. Carrier frequencies are
controlled by the microprocessor
and a frequency synthesizer for
rock-solid frequency control.
The TX9 emitter produces a wide-
angle infrared signal that concen-
trates the IR energy efficiently in
the listening area. Each TX9 emit-
ter can cover up to 11,000 sq. feet
(1,000 sq. meters) in four-channel
operation. The coverage area can
be easily increased by daisy-chain-
ing additional TX9 emitters. A
wall/ceiling omnidirectional mount
is included and stand kits are avail-
able for portable operation.
Users will love the optional RX12-4
receiver. The sleek, comfortable
design features a convenient
rotary channel selector, and an
easy-to-use on/off/volume control.
The RX12-4 can be used with
mono or stereo headphones and
earphones, or a neckloop. Dual
infrared detectors provide maxi-
mum sensitivity and operating
range.
